This roaming festival will hit Acapulco on Friday the 24th of February. ‘Cine Ambulante’ is a non-profit organization founded by Gael Garcia Bernal, Diego Luna, and Pablo Cruz in 2005, dedicated to showing top-quality documentaries in the largest number of places possible. This is the first time that the festival will visit the state of Guerrero, where it will be sharing its cultural picks with audiences in Acapulco, Playa Ventura, and Chilpancingo. The festival travels all over Mexico presenting more than fifty documentaries in 140 venues. Its aim is to share what it considers to be the most relevant cultural commentaries, both current and from the past, and to cultivate critical awareness and debate. Cine Ambulante presents Mexican and international documentaries and this year’s program will include three themes: 3D cinema with documentaries by Werner Herzog and Wim Wenders, ‘Dedazo’

The Acapulco Philharmonic Orchestra – The ‘Fantasia Musical’ starts this year’s musical season on at 9 p.m. on January 20th at the Juan Ruiz de Alarcon Theater in the International Convention Center in Costa Azul, Acapulco, Guerrero, Mexico. If you have already missed this first performance of the Acapulco Philharmonic Orchestra, don’t worry, there are plenty more throughout the season. This superb event, which is completely free to the public due to its being supported by Guerrero Mexico government grants, will also take place in February on the 3rd, 17th, and 24th, in March on the 2nd, 16th, and 30th, in April on the 20th, in May on the 4th and 25th, in June on the 1st, 15th, and 29th, and in July on the 13th.
