Where to Go in Mexico - Travel & Vacation

The middle of Mexico’s high season.

January marks the middle of Mexico’s high season. It is a time when many come fleeing the cold weather in their home countries and seeking a bit of sun and warmth. It is an excellent time of year if you are on the beach, it is the dry season and temperatures are a little cooler and therefore very comfortable. If you are traveling inland keep in mind that due to the higher elevation the weather can be chilly, especially at night. Nevertheless, even inland daytime temperatures often get above twenty degrees centigrade and the weather is usually sunny.

Best budget Island getaway in the Mexican Caribbean

We’d visited the Riviera Maya several times, but had never been to Isla Mujeres. Not that we hadn’t wanted to, it’s just that there are so many places to visit and so many things to do that it’s impossible to do all you want to in just one visit, or in two or three, come to think of it. So, when we got to Cancun, instead of heading south, as we had on previous trips, we headed east – straight across the water from Cancun to Isla Mujeres – there are plenty of ferries and since it’s about eight miles away the crossing only takes about fifteen minutes. Its proximity actually means that it’s easy to visit Isla Mujeres on a day tour, and there is a head-spinning array of them.

Villa Experience Mexico makes villa rental in Mexico very easy!

What kind of place are you thinking of for your next vacation? Let me take a guess; beautiful beaches, translucent waters, lush vegetation, enchanting landscapes, perfect weather, great service, dream accommodations, and the entire infrastructure to ensure that things run smoothly. Impossible, right? In fact it is possible, and in a destination not so far away – Mexico. You should take a look at some of the climate charts and at some of the photos. When it comes to coastal resorts in Mexico we’re not talking shorts and T-shirt weather for certain months of the year, we’re talking shorts and T-shirt weather for every month of the year. And not just that; beautiful beaches framed by impressive mountains and lush tropical vegetation (on the Pacific coast) or white sand, ultramarine waters, and some of the best coral reefs in the world (on the Mayan Riviera).

Mexico, the finest holiday destination

Mexico is the one with the most-developed tourism industry among all the countries profiled in Luxury Latin America. The tourists don’t have to struggle much to find world’s finest luxury resorts. Mexico has the greatest adventure activities with the top notch services. Additionally, the infrastructure is strong with high quality food services. The upper end golf courses are perfectly groomed and are located in dramatic locations. Mexico is the place where everyone would want to visit for great fun and enjoy the world’s best beaches. While you make your mind to travel, you must prioritize so as to what you want. If you are looking for some luxury and comfort, you must spend your time sitting in the sun, next to the ocean and getting yourself pampered by pleasant and cool breezes. Golfing is a yet another option and you can head towards destinations like Cancun, Playa del Carmen, Los Cabos, Puerto Vallarta, Acapulco, Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo, or Huatulco.

Luxury travel in Mexico – choosing the right destination!

When people ask me for the best places to visit on their next trip to Mexico I give them the rather obvious answer of ‘It depends what you’re looking for’. I’m not ducking the question; it’s just that there’s no point in sending people off to wonderful colonial cities inland if they want some sun and fun on the beach, or sending people to the beach if they want to explore Mayan archeological sites (except for Tulum of course, where you can have your cake and eat it next to the Caribbean Sea). So first you have to decide what you want. If, like me, you’re in search of luxury and comfort, and you’d like some guaranteed sun next to the ocean, and maybe even a spot of golf, then you’ll be better off heading for destinations like Cancun, Playa del Carmen, Los Cabos, Playa Vallarta, Acapulco, Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo, or Huatulco.
